What breaks
Nothing today. Your 0.x code keeps working and npm still installs 0.x by default; the break only arrives when you choose to move to 1.0. A release candidate means that choice is closer than it was.
What to do
Nothing to do today. Stay on 0.x, which npm still serves as latest. If you want to prepare, drizzle-orm@rc is the line to read against — not the deprecated beta. We will alert you again when 1.0.0 ships.
What the vendor said
The 1.0 line reached release candidate: drizzle-orm@rc points at 1.0.0-rc.4, published 27 June 2026, with rc.5 prereleases since August. The earlier 1.0.0-beta.1 is deprecated in favour of it. No 1.0.0 final has been published and the 0.x line is still what npm serves as latest, at 0.45.2.
