Image generation calls naming this model return an error. Anything rendering the result will show an empty image rather than fail loudly.
What to do
Move to gpt-image-2. Not to gpt-image-1 or gpt-image-1-mini: OpenAI shuts both down on 1 December 2026 and names gpt-image-2 as their replacement.
