Cloudflare retires legacy Workers KV API routes
- Announced
- 15 Jul 2026
- Effective
- passed 15 Oct 2026
- Source
- the vendor’s own page · last checked 4 Oct 2026
What breaks
After the cutoff date, calls to the legacy route path stop working entirely.
- GET and POST /accounts/{account_id}/workers/namespaces stop working
- GET, PUT, and DELETE /accounts/{account_id}/workers/namespaces/{namespace_id} stop working
- GET /accounts/{account_id}/workers/namespaces/{namespace_id}/keys stops working
- GET /accounts/{account_id}/workers/namespaces/{namespace_id}/metadata/{key_name} stops working
- GET, PUT, and DELETE /accounts/{account_id}/workers/namespaces/{namespace_id}/values/{key_name} stop working
What to do
Update every integration calling the legacy path to use the new path before the cutoff date.
- Replace /workers/namespaces/ with /storage/kv/namespaces/ in request URLs
- Leave request parameters and response payloads unchanged, since they are identical between the two routes

What the vendor said
Cloudflare is deprecating the legacy Workers KV namespace API routes under /accounts/{account_id}/workers/namespaces/*. These routes stop working on October 15, 2026, and must be replaced with the equivalent routes under /accounts/{account_id}/storage/kv/namespaces/*.
